About the exhibition
Each year Council holds an art exhibition to showcase and celebrate the work of artists who live, work or are connected to the City of Whittlesea.
The exhibition is a fully accessible exhibition providing a space for local artists to exhibit and promote their work.
The theme for this year’s exhibition is: Seasonal
This theme acknowledges the temporal world.
Reflecting on various stages and ages in life, land, natural cycles, culturally significant periods, and the relationships between all of these, artists may look around them … or delve within.
As individual beings on the planet (humans, animals, plants) we must find a way to live together and share resources or we risk destruction of the environment that feeds us.
While we celebrate diversity and acknowledge our differences, we all sleep beneath the same sky whatever the season.
While we all belong to this community, we are also a global community.
Working in any medium or style, artists are invited to find form for shifting colours, spaces, people, places, ideas, weather or the undulations of our changing internal landscapes.
