Identifying Community values, Assets and Needs Identify assets (Strengths, Resources and Connections) within a Community
Application of tools to engage community in processes to identify the needs of the community and support required

1:00 pm What is asset-based community-driven development (ABCD)?
Asset-based community-driven development (ABCD), or just asset-based community development, is a bottom-up way of working with communities that focuses on community strengths and assets
The seven principles are:
1.Have Fun
2.Start where people are…
3.But don’t leave them there (Strive for results)
4.Don’t sit on your assets (Gifts of the Head, heart and hands)
5.Lead by stepping back
6.Celebrate success and recognise caring neighbours
7.Share stories
