Whittlesea Community Leaders Professional Development opportunities 2017

 

Whittlesea Community Leadership Network is pleased to announce its 2017 community leadership training program to be delivered in partnership with the City of Whittlesea and the Brotherhood of St Lawrence. The program supports community leaders or aspiring community leaders through the “You Are Now A Leader”, community leadership training program, enabling them to further develop their leadership skills. The program will particularly benefit community leaders who are actively engaged in leadership or hope to engage in community leadership but need to enhance their skills to become even better leaders.

The Community Leadership training will commence on Saturday 27th May 2017 at the City of Whittlesea, South Morang from 10 AM to 3 PM and run for six consecutive weeks.

The program will bring together community members from a wide range of cultural backgrounds to discuss the followings topics; Principles of Leadership, Community Development Principles, Principles of Governance, Negotiation & Conflict Resolution, Succession and Strategic Planning Principles, Introduction to Advocacy and identifying support, Use of Social Media to connect with the community, Managing events and sustainable partnerships.

The Whittlesea Community Leadership Training Program has been delivering leadership training for community leaders and emerging leaders for over 4 year in the Whittlesea municipality.

Mr Joe Felice, President of Whittlesea Community Leadership Network said “we are excited to announce the 2017 partnership with Brotherhood of St Lawrence and City of Whittlesea and we thank them for their contributions toward the upcoming training. Mr Felice believes these partnerships will strengthen the capacity of community leadership in Whittlesea enabling participants to be better leaders in their community groups and organisations.
